Rt/Me help.
I have a Rit/Mesmer and I just got into level 16. I'm needing help on setting up my skills because I'm needing to do the Master's Burden quest. I'm totally new to this and totally lost! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Couple questions -
What chapters do you have? (prophecies, factions, nightfall, eye of the north)
What type of playstyle do you have?
As a bit of ground advice, I'd suggest trying to level up a bit more. Cantha is not friendly to newer players.

A basic guide.
The most important thing about it is that it lists some skills that are actually good, so try to unlock those skills first.
Especially these skills are very good:

Edit:
Completely forgot to mention that I LOVE your avatar!

I find Spirit Rift too slow most of the times. By the time your 2nd or 3rd rift will hit most if not all things will have died already. I find it more useful to use a hybrid build like Upier gave. Not to mention it's more fun (imo)
I wouldn't bother with your secondary profession just yet. There are several builds suggested in the sticky.
EDIT: Spirit Rift also doesn't hit sometimes (because of being slow). I'd much rather copy Ancestor's Rage

Wow, sorry y'all. I forgot about posting this topic! My bad, life's a little crazy right now. Anyway, I only have Prophesy's and Nightfall. Play style wise, umm haha, I don't know really. I've played just enough to get to level 17 (now). I'm def. new to this whole Guild Wars thing. I've only been playing since last month. So, I mostly just run head first into stuff. I usually die, but hey...gotta learn somehow.
I decided to take your advice and level up more. I watched my boyfriend die probably a hundred times before finally beating them. They aren't nice...not all! I guess when it comes to stuff like this it's all pretty much trial and error. So, I'm sure I'll die a few hundred times myself! LOL! Thank for the advice and help, y'all!

I'm sure you mean that you have either Prophecies and Factions or Factions and Nightfall. I hope the latter, because then you'll have access to almost all Ritualist skills (except the few from Eye of the North).
A little tip; when you are outside aggro range select the enemy you want to attack and use ctrl+shift+space to send in your heroes and/or henchmen first.
Good luck leveling up

Since the latest AI nerf that doesn't seem to work anymore. Need to get inside aggro range for H/H to attack. Unless H/H are set to Fight, in which case they aggro when you haven't even come near the enemy or called to attack.
